Le bois de Boulogne
Tapestry woven in the Colombes workshop for ART (Atelier de Rénovation de la Tapisserie).
Of Swiss origin, Naly was one of those foreign artists attracted to Montmartre in the 1930’s when Paris was considered the centre of the international contemporary art scene. A painter, engraver, illustrator and decorator, Naly designed several cartoons for ART.
The panoramic topographical view was incidentally one of the specialities of the workshop where Bobot, Dufaut also tried their hand at it.
